Benco Remodeling LLC is a remodeling contractor in Amherst & the Greater Buffalo Area. This page explains what we collect when you contact us through this website, who else sees it, and how to get it changed or deleted.
The short version: we collect what we need to call you back about your project, we do not track you, and we do not sell anything about you to anybody.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form, plus the ordinary records any website keeps. Nothing on this site asks for a Social Security number, a bank or card number, or a password — please do not send those to us through this website.
When you ask for an estimate or send a message
Your name, and a phone number or an email address so we can reply. If you fill them in: the town you are in, what the project involves, your rough timeline, a budget range, how you prefer to be contacted, and any photos you choose to attach.
When you use the painting calculator
The room measurements and options you enter, and the ballpark figure they produce. This only reaches us if you go on to submit the form — otherwise the numbers stay in your browser.
When you apply to work with us
Your name, phone number, email address, the trade or role you are applying for, what you tell us about your experience, and a resume if you attach one.
How you found us
If you arrived from an ad or a link, your browser remembers the campaign tags on that first address, the site that referred you, and the page you landed on, and sends them with the form. It tells us which advertising is worth paying for. It is not linked to anything you do on other websites.
Ordinary web server records
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs of requests to the site, which include IP addresses. We use them to keep the site running and to stop abuse of the contact form.
What we do not do
No cookies
This website sets no cookies at all — which is why you have not been asked to dismiss a cookie banner. There is nothing to consent to.
No advertising or analytics trackers
There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no session recording, no heat mapping and no chat widget on this site. Nothing here follows you to another website.
No fonts or files loaded from other companies
The typefaces are served from our own server rather than from Google Fonts, so visiting this site does not tell anyone else that you did.
We do not sell or rent your information
We have never done this and have no plans to. We do not share your details with other contractors, lead-buying services, or marketing lists.
What your browser stores
These are not cookies and they are never sent to another company. They are small notes the site leaves in your own browser so it behaves sensibly as you move around. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.
- Whether you have seen the opening animation. So it does not replay on every page. Cleared when you close the tab.
- How you found us. The campaign and referrer described above. Cleared when you close the tab.
- Whether you dismissed the booking notice. So it stays dismissed. Cleared when you close the tab.
- Whether you have claimed the scheduling discount. So the offer is not shown to you again. This one persists until you clear your browser data.
Who else sees it
Your enquiry reaches the owner and anyone at Benco working on your job. Beyond that, three companies handle it only because they run the plumbing:
- Our email provider. We use Resend to deliver the message from the website to our inbox. They carry it; they do not market to you.
- Our own job system. Enquiries are copied into Benco's private customer system so that your project, estimate and invoices stay in one place. It is ours, it is not public, and it is not shared with other businesses.
- Our web host. The company that runs the server this site sits on.
We may also share information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to answer you, to carry out and stand behind work we have quoted or completed, and to meet our tax and record-keeping obligations. Job records outlive enquiries that never became jobs, because a warranty claim can arrive a year after the work. When a record is no longer needed for any of those reasons, we delete it.
If you would rather we did not wait, ask us to delete it and we will — see below.
Marketing email, calls and texts
When you send us an enquiry we will contact you about that enquiry — by phone, text or email, whichever you asked for. That is the point of the form.
We only add you to our occasional mailing list if you ticked the box asking for it. The box is never ticked for you. Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link, and we act on it. You can also just reply and say stop, or tell us on the phone — it does not have to be in writing, and asking us to stop marketing never affects work we are already doing for you.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, to correct anything that is wrong, to delete it, or to stop sending you marketing. We offer this to everyone who contacts us, wherever you live, rather than only where a law happens to require it.
How to ask
Email estimate@bencoremodeling.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line, or call 716-97-BENCO ((716) 972-3626).
Tell us the name, phone number or email address you used so we can find the right record. We may need to check you are who you say you are before we hand over or delete anything — that check protects you, not us. We handle these ourselves rather than through a form, and we will do it as promptly as we can.
There are things we may have to keep even after a deletion request — a paid invoice, for instance, because tax records have their own rules. If that applies we will tell you what we kept and why.
How we look after it
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Enquiries go to a small number of people who need them. We deliberately do not ask for financial or identity details through this website, because the safest way to hold that kind of information is not to have it.
No website can promise perfect security, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we can say is that we keep the amount we collect small, and we review it.
Children, links out, and changes
- Children and teenagers. This site is meant for adults arranging work on a property. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you think a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.
- Links to other sites. Our Facebook, Instagram and Google listings are run by those companies under their own privacy policies, not this one.
- Changes. If we change how any of this works, we change this page and move the date at the top. There is no archive of previous versions; if you need to know what it said on a particular date, ask us.
