Tile Installation in Buffalo & Amherst, NY

Tile is the trade where the mistakes are permanent. A shower that leaks two winters from now looks fine on handover day, so the work that matters most is the work nobody sees: the waterproofing behind the tile, and the layout decided before the first cut.

What’s included

Waterproofing first

Wet areas are waterproofed before any tile goes on. This is the part that decides whether a shower lasts, and it is not somewhere to save money.

Layout planned to the room

Where the cuts land is a decision, not an accident. Full tiles where the eye goes, awkward cuts pushed to the edges, and grout lines that carry through.

Large format, subway, mosaic

Large-format porcelain and stone-look through to standard subway and mosaic accents. Floors, walls, showers and backsplashes.

Niches and detail work

Built-in shower niches, edge profiles and transitions, finished so the edges look intentional rather than covered up.

Common questions

How much does tile installation cost?

It depends on the tile, the size of the area, and what is behind it. Large-format and stone need more preparation than standard ceramic, and a shower costs more than a floor because of the waterproofing underneath. We price the actual room rather than quoting a square-foot average, and the smallest job we schedule is $450.

Do you waterproof showers before tiling?

Yes, always. Tile and grout are not waterproof on their own, and a shower that was not waterproofed underneath will eventually fail no matter how good the tile looks. It is included, not an upgrade.

Can you tile over existing tile?

Sometimes, but usually it is the wrong call. It raises the floor or wall height, it hides whatever condition the substrate is in, and it puts your new tile on a bond you cannot inspect. We will tell you honestly which situation you are in.

Do you charge for an estimate?

No. Estimates are free and carry no obligation. We walk the space, talk through what you want, and put the numbers in writing so you can compare them against anyone else.
